Design This! Curating an exhibition

Design This! Curating an exhibition

This immersive workshop offers students a unique opportunity to step into the shoes of a professional curator. By selecting artworks from the HOTA Collection, students will work from a design brief to curate their own personal exhibition. Starting with a curatorial premise and theme, they'll delve into the Collection to find pieces that resonate with their vision. From considering the logistics of installation to crafting a compelling exhibition blurb and title, students will gain invaluable hands-on experience.

HOTA proudly acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we are situated, the Kombumerri families of the Yugambeh Language Region. We pay our respects to their Elders past, present and emerging, and recognise their continuing connections to the lands, waters and their extended communities throughout South East Queensland.
