HOTA announces partnership with Youth Music Venture

HOTA and Youth Music Venture (YMV) have collaborated over many years to deliver successful special events and performances, so it’s now time to recognise our love of the performing arts as YMV join our Cultural Partner family.

We’ve established a three year partnership together, to support and nurture local artists and musicians through a range of workshops, programs, and events to present, or co-present, that develop and showcase Gold Coast talent.

As well as performance opportunities, HOTA will provide production support and mentoring opportunities to Youth Music Venture participants to gain further experience in the performing arts space.

Youth Music Venture Founder and President, Ian Grace said:

‘The partnership with HOTA will present many opportunities, for young people in particular, and for music to continue to grow on the Gold Coast with live programs and performances, special music events and also as previously, starting with groups of kids as strangers, forming them into bands and having them on stage performing like Rockstars only eight short weeks later. And maybe even our Veterans, if they can just keep up with our amazing kids!

The possibilities are endless and the prospects are exciting, only bounded by our imaginations and between us, I'm sure HOTA and YMV will create music magic!’

YMV has recently been awarded Gold Coast Community Organisation of The Year 2022, Gold Coast Volunteer of The Year 2022, and Gold Coast Australian of The Year 2023 - Local Hero Finalist. This is great recognition for the amazing volunteers who make it all happen!

We are looking forward to the next three years in this joint partnership.
