It's Time

Based on actual events, this critically acclaimed performance is brought to you by Director and Playwright, Chamkaur Gill.

At his first psychiatric evaluation, Tom (Carey Parsons) who suffers from Vietnam War-induced PTSD, comes across as uptight, on-edge and uncommunicative with Dr Phillips (Craig Thompson). However, he pours his innermost thoughts and feelings through his inner voice, represented by a soldier (Rowan Hinton). In a dream sequence, Tom’s heavy guilt and regret is portrayed in a reconciliation scene with the Vietnamese mother (Doll Nguyễn Ashenden) of a dead Viet Cong fighter, whose belongings he returns to her as part of the Australian-inspired Operation Wandering Souls Project.

Certain scenes have been modified for dramatic effect.

Don’t miss this powerful and thought-provoking performance!

First staged as a charity performance for Bond University-RSL student financial aid, see audience reviews:

“An unforgettable, emotional masterpiece.”
“Absolutely phenomenal… truly mesmerising from start to finish.”
“The sheer craft of Chamkaur Gill’s storytelling in ‘It’s Time’ is remarkable.”
