What Happened to the Disco

Remember when music made you dance without thinking?

A one-night disco extravaganza with a full live cast — your role is to sing, dance, and relive the hits!

Disco wasn’t just music — it was a time of freedom, glamour, and exciting nights that didn’t end early! What Happened to the Disco is not a tribute show, it’s a high-energy, feel-good live concert featuring a 20-strong cast, (powerhouse vocals, full live band, choreographed dancers, host & MC & DJ) & 44 songs from the 70’s -90’s & 90’s that you know every word to.

With a music career spanning three decades, established ‘pop-artist’, AJB decided that 2025 was the perfect time to announce his long-awaited project - What Happened to the Disco Tour?

Holding the opening night at HOTA was AJB’s goal, with the concert travelling around Australia before heading international. This is not a quiet, sit-back concert — it’s a celebration of everything ‘disco’ from glittering anthems to dance-floor classics, this one-night-only event brings the spirit of disco back to life on the Gold Coast. Audience participation is essential so grab your friends, dress up, sing loudly & dance shamelessly – Just don’t miss out.

This is your night. Book now.

Opening Act

Groove Dr B

I have worked with many artists over my career - Groove Dr B is NOT your typical musician. He is a master chef, cooking up a gumbo of Southern Fried Boogie, Soul Infused Blues with a side dish of good ol’ Aussie Garage Band Rock. Just as soul segued into funk, then to disco, Groove Dr B’s musical gumbo will whet your appetite for the WHTTD feast!!

Music has no limitations, and neither does Groove Doctor Bob. Whether performing as a duo or leading a full band, his passion for authentic, groove-driven music leaves audiences wanting more…& more…& more
