Seasons, what lies Beneath?

Seasons: What Lies Beneath? invites young adventurers down a rabbit hole into the hidden world below. Along the way, they’ll meet curious characters, uncover unseen ecosystems, and discover the rhythms of a world rarely noticed. Part quest, part performance, part hands-on, making this a fully immersive adventure.

Seasons: What Lies Beneath is an original installation by Hayley Stanich, with contributions from Hiromi Tango and Al Phemister.

We acknowledge artist Hiromi Tango's significant contribution to Seasons: What Lies Beneath. Her mentorship was instrumental in shaping the conceptual and material development of this project. We are also deeply grateful for her donation of materials and works from The Children’s Sensorium, Gentle Petal, and Healing Garden, as well as the loan of the textile egg chair and trampoline artworks. These elements have been reimagined as 'art seeds' within the project, transferred with care to cultivate new forms of encounter, participation, and healing. Tango’s practice, rooted in empathy and collaboration, continues to nurture intergenerational dialogue and the generative potential of art as a living, relational process.

We also acknowledge Al Phemister for his series of original metal and upcycled sculptures, which bring a sense of energy and movement to the installation. His practice, which finds beauty and possibility in materials at hand, brings another perspective to the project’s exploration of nature, creativity and transformation.
