Come gather under the bright bold BEACON of belonging for an illuminating conversation and rare insight into the creative practice from cross-disciplinary artist Claudio Kirac, Kaleidoscope Skies, International acclaimed UK artist and designer, Morag Myerscough, BEACON and world acclaimed filmmaker and video artist Naina Sen, Shundori.

This artist talk will be hosted by Kate Baggerson, Executive Director, Co-Founder and Artistic Director of Everybody NOW! - creators of participatory arts experiences that generate joy. Specialising in large-scale community participation, Everybody NOW! are nationally recognised for their ability to create highly professional and innovative arts projects, with high-impact community benefits.

Artists

Claudio Kirac

Claudio Kirac is a contemporary artist living and creating on the lands of the Kombumerri families of the Yugambeh Language Region, Gold Coast. His work explores nostaligia, harmony, memory shared experience and joy. Kirac has a multidisciplinary practice spanning painting, design, photography and installation. He investigates the intersections between analogue and digital processes, contemporary art and popular culture. Across a career of more than 25 years, his work has entered the collections of HOTA, Home of the Arts, the National Library of Australia, NYC State Library and Louis Vuitton Asia Pacific. He has also been a finalist in the Harden Landscape Prize and Darling Portrait Prize.

Morag Myerscough (UK)

Morag Myerscough is an acclaimed UK artist and designer, renowned for her vibrant and immersive public art installations that transform urban environments. She is best known for her use of bold colours, patterns, and words to create spaces that foster a sense of community, belonging, and joy.  Myerscough’s work spans a wide range of projects, from schools and hospitals to cultural hubs and town centres, often involving local communities in the design process to reflect their cultural identity and shared history. Myerscough’s work is instantly recognizable for its energy and ability to resonate with diverse audiences worldwide, having been featured in cities across the globe, including London, USA, Hong Kong, and Mexico City.  In addition to her design work, Myerscough is a passionate advocate for belonging, often speaking about the importance of creating spaces that promote inclusivity.

Naina Sen

Born and brought up in New Delhi, India, Naina Sen is a Walkley and AACTA nominated filmmaker and video artist. Based between the lands of the Larrakia People in Darwin, Northern Territory and New Delhi, India, Naina works across documentary, installation and live projection, using image making to explore gender, cultural identity, equity, place, memory and ritual privileging First Nations and South Asian and South Asian diasporic narratives. Most recently, Naina and co-collaborators Harrison Hall and Naveed Farro’s sculptural video installation work Through Line has been awarded Adelaide Film Festival’s prestigious Expand Lab Moving Image Commission that will premiere at Adelaide Film Festival 2026. Naina is currently touring her most recent and ambitious video work to date, large scale, immersive video installation সুন্দরী Shundori, that deconstructs the Indian Feminine, exploring the intersections of ritual, mythology, sexuality and the politics of body.

Kate Baggerson

Kate Baggerson is a highly experienced leader in the arts and cultural sector, having worked across a range of arts organisations, not-for-profits and community cultural development initiatives Australia wide. She is the Co-Founder and Executive Director of Australian Arts Organisation Everybody NOW!, where she has strategically guided the company through a highly successful period of growth since formation in 2015, reaching over 85,000 people in 250 communities across Australia. She has worked for leading national arts organisations such as; Salamanca Arts Centre Hobart, MONA FOMA Festival, Tasmanian Regional Arts, Woodford Folk Festival, Garma Festival, HOTA Home of the Arts, and BLEACH Festival. Kate has a passion for community placemaking, social impact and telling stories that make us who we are, and who we can become, through participatory and immersive creative experiences where audiences, artists and communities are co-creators.
