Are you passionate about the arts and the vibrant culture of the Gold Coast? Do you love engaging with people and sharing your enthusiasm and curiosity for creativity? If so, we invite you to join our valued HOTA Ambassador at HOTA, Home of the Arts.

As a HOTA Ambassador, you'll play a vital role in creating memorable experiences for our visitors. Whether you're welcoming guests to the precinct, offering personalised recommendations, or sharing your own artistic insights, each day will bring new opportunities to connect with our diverse audience. 

HOTA Ambassador is an unpaid volunteer role.

Key Responsibilities:

- Welcome visitors to the HOTA precinct with warmth and hospitality, providing information and tailored recommendations. 

- Engage and inspire guests with the creative spirit of HOTA, offering high-level customer service and insightful art interpretation. 

- Present information to the public, drawing on your personal connection to or interest in the arts. 

- Promote upcoming programs, tours, and membership opportunities, guiding visitors to explore all that HOTA has to offer. 

Skills and Qualifications:

- Passion for art (from visual art to performing arts and everything in-between!) and the Gold Coast. 

- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to convey artistic concepts clearly and accessibly. 

- Emotional intelligence and sensitivity to diverse audiences. 

- Physical fitness for extended periods of standing, walking, and talking in various indoor and outdoor spaces. 

- Flexible, collegial, and reliable. 

Availability:

Ambassadors must commit to volunteering for a minimum of one 3-hour shift per fortnight for at least one year. Shifts may include mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays at HOTA Gallery, HOTA Central or HOTA Outdoor Stage.
