Clay Chimes Workshop with Larissa Warren

Ceramic artist Larissa Warren, one of the six commissioned artists in Here and Now: Gold Coast Triennial, leads this very special workshop at HOTA Gallery!

Spend the day with Larissa as she guides you to hand build and decorate your very own ceramic chimes creation. Working with similar coloured porcelain and local Gold Coast clays Larissa sourced and processed for her commissioned work, you will be making a unique sculptural piece.

We will also explore Larissa’s exhibition pieces in the exhibition, gaining a personal insight on how she discovered each Gold Coast clay and made the vessels in consideration of each clay’s individual properties.

A light lunch and tea/coffee will be provided. All abilities welcome. We recommend wearing clothes you don’t mind getting dirty, bringing an apron and water bottle.

Allow 2-3 weeks for work to be fired and ready for collection at HOTA Hello Desk (open 9am-5pm, Monday – Saturday).
