Each month we invite leading artists and performers to curate poses, subjects and performances for you to draw.

Relax and unwind with short, guided drawing warm-ups, followed by long and sustained poses or still life subjects, with help from our guest artist and team of artist educators.

Ticket includes one complimentary beverage from a selected drinks menu, with food and drinks available to purchase throughout the session.

Whether you’re new to drawing or one of the greats, all abilities are welcome to enjoy this unique and artful experience. All materials provided.

In this Drawing for Life session, Queensland artist Martina Clarke will focus on foundational drawing techniques and using some classic drawing materials.

Join four of our resident artists from HOTA's award winning ArtKeeper program: Tal, Lisa, Loki and Sam for a smorgasbord of drawing prompts and provocations. Over the course of the night through a series of drawing set-ups and exercises, we will be privy to the range of artistic practises of these artists and their areas of interest, including poetry, theatre and themes relating to the Gold Coast.

Join artist Nicola Hooper for a Drawing for Life workshop that blends traditional techniques with contemporary ideas. In this drawing session classical props and animal specimens converge. In the midst of an opulent, gilt frame and luxurious, red, velvet drapery, immerse yourself in the fusion of traditional drawing techniques and the exploration of human-animal dynamics.
