Rainbow Story Hour
Third Friday MonthlyRainbow Story Hour
Imaginative and immersive fun for little readers!
Little ones are invited to settle back and listen to a story read by a member of our LGBTQIA+ community. HOTA’s Rainbow Story Hour program champions body positivity and role models in all different shapes, sizes, diversities, and encourages the imagination and play of childhood.
Featuring artists, singers, and creatives of all genre, Rainbow Story Hour is a fun way for kids to connect with their imagination, meet friends, and explore vivid realms.
Children must be accompanied by an adult or carer and cannot be left unsupervised at any time. Thank you for your understanding.

With Caroline Graham
Caro is a writer, journalist and digital journalism lecturer at the University of Queensland. She spends most of her free time sweating in far-flung remote outback areas looking for interesting stories — she is the co-writer of the Walkley Award-winning podcast Lost in Larrimah and the Australian bestseller Larrimah, and the co-writer/co-producer of ABC Landline documentary Outback Musical. She spent most of her childhood with a nose buried in a book, and now she works with Somerset Storyfest to help other kids find and fall in love with stories. She lives on the Gold Coast with her partner, a demanding Border Collie and a kitten who would make a great ninja. Her dream is to have a bookcase with a ladder one day.
